Five days of preliminary, semifinal, and final rounds open to the public, and all but one are FREE!
Preliminary Solo Rounds: May 23-24, Ganz Hall, 10am-5pm FREE
Preliminary Concerto Round: May 24, Fine Arts Building, 10am-5pm FREE
Semifinal Solo Round: May 25, Ganz Hall, 10am-5pm FREE
Concerto Final: May 26, Symphony Center, 3pm-5:30pm FREE (Reserve tickets here)
Solo Final: May 27, Ganz Hall, 1:30-4:30pm $15/$10 students (Buy tickets)

LATEST NEWS:

  • Featured this year is our first concerto competition, with the final concerto round being held at Orchestra Hall as part of the CSO’s Keys to the City Piano Festival.
    The Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Encore Chamber Orchestra will provide dazzling accompaniment for the 6 finalists. Internationally renowned pianist Marc-André Hamelin will serve as a judge, and actor and pianist David Hyde Pierce will hand out the awards! Admission is free, but tickets are required.
  • All solo competition rounds will be streamed live on Gigity.tv, and the final solo round will also be broadcast live on 98.7 WFMT!
