What should I wear? PianoForte presents concerts in casual settings, so dress in what you feel most comfortable wearing.
Where should I park? Parking for the Fine Arts Building is available at the Grant Park South garage. Entrance to the garage can be accessed from the center lane of Michigan Avenue at Jackson St. (Discounted parking available for our Subscribers.) There is also a parking lot on the corner of Congress and Wabash for an hourly fee. There is metered and free street parking for Sherwood Community Music School, and easily accessible parking lots for the Mayskale Peabody Estate.
How do I get to PianoForte concerts via public transportation? You can reach the Fine Arts Building from the Red line Jackson or the Brown line Library. Busses 3 and 4 will also drop you off directly in front of the building at Michigan and Congress Ave. To reach Sherwood Community Music School, the closest station is the Red line Roosevelt, or take the number 3 or 4 bus and get off at 13th street.
Where should I eat? There are many restaurants around the Fine Arts Building on Michigan Avenue. All PianoForte concerts at FAB have a complimentary reception after the concert, so feel free to eat before or stay for the reception and chat with the artists and friends! If you are attending a PianoForte Salon Series Live concert at Sherwood, you can eat lunch in the lobby area before the concert begins.
Are there drinks available at each concert? Yes, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are provided as a part of the complimentary reception.
What time should I arrive at the concert? Seating is limited and on a first-come-first-served basis, so plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early.
How do I get tickets in advance? Purchasing tickets in advance is one of the many perks to being a PianoForte Foundation Member. Please call 312-291-0291 or click
here for more information on how you can purchase tickets before the concert sells out!
I purchased tickets to be picked up at Will Call. When can I pick them up? We do not use paper tickets at PianoForte. Simply check in at the box office before the concert begins.
The concert I want to see is sold out, will there be more tickets? There is a possibility that other patrons will not attend, and you are welcome to come and try your luck. If there are spots available, we will try to squeeze you in. Please keep in mind we cannot guarantee you a seat.
